The AI world was rocked by news that OpenAI's board of directors had forced out the company's CEO, Sam Altman.

🤔 WTF is Happening at OpenAI?

On Friday afternoon, Sam Altman was suddenly fired from OpenAI, shocking everyone. This happened out of nowhere. The president of OpenAI, Greg Brockman, quit out of solidarity after hearing the news.

While the details are still not revelead, the board has already hired a new CEO Emmett Shear, former CEO of Twitch.

On Sunday, Sam Altman posted a photo of him being at OpenAI office with a “guest badge”, claiming this is the first and last time wearing it. Some people speculated over potential comeback.

However, Sam Altman was already hired by Microsoft on Monday. Fired on Friday and hired on Monday. Can you imagine that?

Now Greg Brockman and Sam Altman work in Microsoft, reportedly on something “new and incredible”.

While it’s all just speculation on what is happening and what will happen, one thing is for sure. Things are about to change drastically, and I am personally looking forward to 2024. So much will happen. So stay tuned 👌

2. 📽️ This is a new AI video-making tool from Meta - Meta has introduced Emu, a groundbreaking video and image editing tool, surpassing competitors like Adobe and Google. Emu comes to Facebook and Instagram as Emu Edit and Emu Video. Emu Edit enables users to edit specific parts of photos, removing or modifying objects without professional editing skills. The highlight, Emu Video, allows users to create videos from text or image input, similar to ChatGPT but for videos. Users can combine text and images for new video creations. 3. 🎵 YouTube will soon add AI music tools for creators - Google DeepMind and YouTube are collaborating to advance AI in music with a focus on responsible collaboration. The initiative involves AI experiments in music, the development of AI Music principles, and the creation of a Music AI incubator. The Dream Track in YouTube Shorts experiment, featuring renowned artists, utilizes Google DeepMind's advanced music generation model, Lyria. The collaboration aims to explore deeper connections between artists, creators, and fans. The future of AI in music creation involves developing tools that experiment with new concepts and features to enhance creativity and fan engagement.
