Why Fiverr is a Trap (and What to Do Instead)

Ever heard of Fiverr? It's that place where your skills go to die a slow, $10 death. But here's the burning question:

Why would you want to position yourself as bottom-of-the-barrel talent?

Selling yourself short is like saying, "My service is worthless, and I'm just another NPC in this game." Yikes.

I personally worked on Fiverr and I remember I made a few videos for like $80 to $90 a video.

Just for reference, now I charge between $500 to $600.

How can I charge more? 💰️

By creating a personal brand. Charging more is a combination of several factors:

  1. Building your personal brand and positioning yourself as high-value creator

  2. Use branding elements in your content creation to differentiate yourself

  3. Letting clients come to you instead of you coming to them (I get DMs on Instagram or emails almost every day)

The basic of rule of thumb is you can charge 1% of the number of your followers, meaning 50,000 followers = $500.

But it also depends on your demographics, reach, and actual negotiaton skills with potential customers.

So remember: You're not a commodity. You're a freaking AI content creator rockstar.
