1. January 23 - This is when Microsoft invested $10 billion in OpenAI, skyrocketing its valuation.

2. March 15 - OpenAI launched GPT-4 just 5 weeks after Bing Chat unofficially launched. GPT-4 outperformed all existing LLMs at that time.

3. September 25 - ChatGPT went multimodal and premium users can use ChatGPT to see, hear, and speak. This is when people started to insert pictures into ChatGPT and asked for solutions to many difficult topics.

4. October 19 - OpenAI launched DALL-E 3 and also made it available to create images inside of ChatGPT for Plus & Enterprise users.

5. November 17 & 22 - Sam Altman got unexpectedly fired from his own company as a CEO, and then got rehired back in just a few days. That was wild!

RunwayML, Pika Labs, and other leading AI video tools have a got a new competitor. And it’s Google…

1. 📽️ Google will launch its own video AI tool in 2024: VideoPoet is a large language model for zero-shot video generation. You can basically generate videos from text or images, or edit with AI features. You can check out how it works in the video below on X, or check the link directly to their website here.

2. 🎨 Midjourney V5.2 👉️ V6: After 9 months of development, the V6 update impresses with significant enhancements. Images now display greater depth and realism. A first for Midjourney, it can generate text within images. V6 improves in accurately following longer prompts and introduces more intuitive prompting methods. 3.📱 Apple’s new discovery could change iPhones forever: Apple's latest research introduces advanced AI capabilities for iPhones, such as efficient 3D avatars and assistants. One study details creating realistic animated avatars from videos, enhancing speed and photorealism. Another focuses on optimizing large language models for mobile use. Apple, despite its initial AI reservation, is ramping up AI hires, potentially integrating AI into health-tracking wearables, signaling a major advancement in its mobile tech.
